While it seems we are just taking off on our adventure, this feels like we are coming up on the end of it. We are flooded with emotions as we sit in the airport waiting to go meet Journey for the first time. We are humbly grateful for the love and support of so many people over the past year and a half, and especially this week. As we fly and adjust, we have been thanking God for the people He has put in Journey's life up until this point. Last night as we had some friends over praying with us, Andrea VanB, prayed for the people who have been caring for him. My heart broke. How had I never thought to pray for those people or thank God for them? I, along with everyone else, tends to view him as alone, but he is not. He has amazing women caring for him at the orphanage, the Bethany Staff looking out for his best interest and up until a few months ago, his uncle. His uncle was there for him when his tiny little world fell apart. His uncle took him in and then had to make the heart wrenching decision to turn him over to the orphanage. Today we are praying for his uncle, whom we will never meet, and all of the people who have cared for our son over the past year.
